Hi, I'm new to Prezi and was wondering if you could tell me if you are supposed to be able to click on the screenshots so you can investigate the work or not? I'm I doing it right by viewing the slideshow but not being able to actually an indepth view of each of the slides?
Cheers, Nadia

Clicking on the pop up arrows at the bottom of the screen will take you from circle to circle. If you want to see a close up on one of the pictures within the circle simply click on it. Click just outside the pic to go back to the whole circle view. You can repeat this process if two or three pics within the circle. You then click on arrow and resume the show to visit the next circle. If you accidently double click the circle you will return to the home view (overview). When you click on the arrow again it should take you back to the point you exited the slideshow. You can put videos and hyperlinks in the presentation, mine is simple screenshots just to give you an idea of how it works. Hope this helps,
Darren

Thanks for the comments. Are you familiar with Larry Ferlazzo's site? He has a number of ' best of ' lists which include a great deal of advice about using Web 2.0 to teach languages. http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/ Hope you find it useful, Darren

Good to hear that your having some success, it would really make some secondary teachers sit up and take notice if they realised that this was what children are doing in primary schools. I have had some issues introducing tools such as goanimate because the content of the site is not filtered. I see youlike Myths and Legends, I added a couple of new tools to the animation and electronic writing links which may be of interest

Hi, could you tell me which one? I had a quick look at all the slideshows on the Presentation/slideshow link and they appear all to be working. It is possible that you may need to update your Flash in order to see some of the sites.

"Thank you so much for this unvaluable source of information. The work you've done is so great and useful, it is really interesting !!!!
Thanks again" I agree. I'm convinced of the huge educational potential of the tools you've researched. It's great to see your site recognised in GTCNI's Term Talk. Hopefully more and more teachers in NI will begin to investigate the use of Web 2 (and not just RE Teachers ). Thank you

"Thanks, glad you like the site. People are going to think I'm posting these messages about myself! I have quite a few more to add and a few new categories. Make sure you keep an eye on the site in the coming months" amazing site. Everything under one roof.

Thanks David. I have a few more sites to add and a few more categories to go. My fellowship is now finished and I have to return to the classroom full time. However, I will try to keep adding sites as I get the chance. I was quite impressed by the way some teachers are using seminar tools such as Eluminate to teach languages, I think Web 2.0 lends itself particularly to language teaching by bringing a personal dimension that makes it more relevant than the purely academic language studies I endured as a child.

RE: Social Networking

I will be adding a page for blogs, wikis, social networks etc. and will be sure to include Ning. One of the issues we do find in Northern Ireland is that all social networking tends to be blocked on our network. We have a government provided network which is controlled centrally meaning there is little freedom for individual schools to unblock a particular website or category of websites. There is a great fear that children will misuse any website that allows them to post publicly...how do you find it?
